Drakan was such an amazing fight, very hard but when the mechanics were clicking it felt sooo good. I have never experienced such a good boss design in the game before and I genuinly feel sad that it isn’t a repeatable boss. The mechanics felt fresh, the fight was long but very interactive and never a dull moment without permanent griefed tiles, annoying spawns to drag your attention or other tedious mechanics and it is really a shame that all of that peak boss experience is just gone after you beat him once. That said the Maggot King feels kinda like we are revisiting plenty of already existing mechanics, it doesn’t feel fresh or very rewarding to learn and it just feels tedious and like just another grind, like doom 2.0 and it doesn’t feel all that hard or good once you figured out the mechanics. People already do very fast kills in very budget set ups and it does not feel like a boss that is worthy of being compared to the difficulty of Phosanis, the only thing that is comparable is the drop table if anything. If nothing else just please let us fight Drakan again, it was such a blast to learn and would be amazing to get better and better at the fight just for fun. submitted by /u/lagges0
