My salary is 85k gross plus a 15% bonus, and my husband makes at least 65k gross per year both from Zurich. He’s self-employed, so some months are higher, but 70k netto is the lowest he can realistically make in a year. We found an apartment we really love, but the rent is 2,800 CHF plus 180 CHF parking, so 2,980 CHF/month total. We’ve never spent 30% of our income on rent before, so I’m wondering if this would be a bad idea realistically. Would you take it, or is that too much for our income in Zurich?
