Venators were proposed as a reward focused, higher intensity, task-only alternative to the bot packed vyrewatch sentinels along with a more consistent way to get blood shards. Now that they are live, they are actually the complete opposite. They give no loot, worse blood shards rate, and you need to turn your prayer off once per kill, twice maybe if you are sitting lower then 115 combat. Venators currently have 2.27x the hp of sentinels and both have nearly 0 defence meaning they take twice as long to kill versus their alternative. The blood shards drop rate from Venators is currently estimated at around 1/1k meaning it straight up just takes longer to get a blood shards from Venators versus killing sentinels. Venators should have a 1/250 drop rate on these, I don’t know why we are gate keeping blood fury’s when we now have 2 better dps amulets. It’s like a blood fury’s is a massive account changer when they just aren’t, it’s a nice alternative to extend trips or help learn new content. Further, the drop table is absolutely awful. When we compare all the alchs from sentinels. You get literally no loot from venators. I thought they may be a more consistent way to get dragon ammo but after a full task of them you should expect about 90 dragon arrows and 70 dragon darts, this could easily be doubled or even tripled. Higher intensity? Barely. If you are sitting around 120 combat on task with the new flail and spec you just camp pray melee and turn it off once per kill before you kill the venator. If you don’t turn your prayer off you take maybe 15 damage tops. If you wanted you could easily afk with some food. Overall, huge miss here especially considering how rare a vampire task is. Just boost the drop rate of blood shards and give us 1-5 fangs and and teeth per kill. A task should give like 200 dragon darts and arrows. This would make them actually reward focused and let irons use their dragon ammo. Thanks for coming to my ted talk :) submitted by /u/ZealousidealCold3464
