The new sap-treated logs are a game changer because they allow you to start a 3-tick skilling action with a single click. It removes the friction of priming an action from tick manipulation methods, which makes the experience feel so much smoother. A couple HLC members complained and and Jagex have decided to remove it. We need to ask ourselves: Is the goal of OSRS to make it as tedious as possible, or is it to be fun? Clicks per second isn’t the metric we should be balancing around. Tick manipulation doesn’t become any less active, we’re just removing an unnecessary click and it makes the game feel so much more fun. We finally had a way to make high-level skilling feel good and I’m honestly gutted that we’re letting a few complaints take away a mechanic that opens the door for more rewarding skilling methods. submitted by /u/tuisan
