It effectively communicates the gameplay role of the weapon. The spec is big and flashy and cool and tells you that you’re using the weapon for its intended purpose. The goofy little doink with the hilt tells you “hey dummy that’s not what this thing is for” (Burning and dragon claws also have a dumb crappy little normal attack animation which serves the same function! It wouldn’t make sense to change their normal attacks to match the cool multi-slash specs) It’s really really funny I don’t think it’s a good idea to muddy the design language of the weapon and take away from its charm, just so that some Rune Scape Gamers out there can feel more epic and badass about the animation they’re never actually seeing submitted by /u/lizard_online
