Hi folks, here a 32M Italian mother tongue, C1 English and B1/B2 German speaker. I worked in IT (mostly software development) since 8 years, 5 of them in CH. I’m started to think about the fact that… I’m tired. Tired of this constant competition, pressure about people who don’t know a single thing about SW eng, listening to people that AI does your job 10x better etc. Maybe I did always SW development with a more creative way, but here it comes the point. I’ve been always a railway fan and the SBB gave me the second round to become a railway traffic controller. A different way to intend career, a complete switch from my current one. I’m quite scared about it, but at the same time it would give me perhaps stability instead of getting anxiety that everything collapses on a regular basis.
