This isn’t a jab at anyone, I’ve got a Completionist cape on my ironman in RS3, max cape on Iron+Group iron in OSRS. The nerf to the sap logs (while I think pointless) has really caused a rather big uproar. Realistically many of you would should simply try RS3, there’s still the big stigma of it and certainly it’s a learning curve but it’s still just runescape at heart. I’d honestly say you should play an ironman though in the last few months they’ve done away with many of the abhorrent things that made RS3 “gross” over this year and are continuing to improve it. But RS3 jmods are less afraid of mixing up the meta some people might view this as bad, some might view it as good I’d say I’m more on the latter but that’s personally opinion. I think making everything a side grade and being afraid of power creep just leads to “meh” additions like crimson kisten, it has niche uses I’m not saying it’s worthless just meh I’m getting 300kc and if I get it sure if I don’t I’m not grinding more of the boss on my group iron as I got the neck around 130~. RS3 However has invention and they tend to alleviate problems of “outdated” things being used as materials (kind of like torva+bandos/Armadyl+Masori). Other noteable things. Most Skilling actions are automated to a degree and 1-2tick by default. (I.E making bolts/fletching arrows) Pickpocketing is automated (albeit slower) until failure, can be increased by clicking more similar to OSRS. Agility has afk methods, albeit terrible exp (but it is afk so “shrug”) Exp on skilling is decently higher in some skills, but not necessarily so in others. This is offset by the fact that many skills have a level 120 cap, so you’re expected to grind 100m exp instead of just 13m . However Agility is still ass (best rates are like 150k~ I believe) Run energy is pretty much a non-issue agility helps it but has actual other uses (When pickpocketing agility makes your likely have the chance to thieve double the loot because your agile reflexes). Mining+Smithing are highly relevant and the skills are much better designed and actually useful throughout account progression, it’s completely different but functions in a similar manner. And again many things can be AFK’d in RS3, not “oh I get to look away for 30seconds AFK” I mean full on “hey I’m gonna brb like 10mins taking a shower” afk Tbh just a thought that came to mind especially over the freakouts of the last few days, probably going to be downvoted because I simply mentioned RS3 might be better for some of you to actually give a try, Last note, buff Sunspear. Stupid fuckass flail ain’t gonna win. submitted by /u/Dontusethisname1
