Increasing attack speed by 1 is basically the biggest single stat dps boost you can get on any weapon in this game. Every additional magic dmg only increases the gap. Harm staff was released in a time when elemental magic was shit but now that elemental weaknesses are a real approach to dps in this game, I suspect it will be hard to balance non harm staves around the harm orb existing without introducing more elemental compatible staves with special effects like the twinflame staff. But there is basically no way to make traditional staves like kodai, etc… balanced in a world with the harm staff existing. Maybe that’s fine but I feel like it compresses the design space down a bunch and it feels a bit of a shame that the best traditional magic staff in the game will never have a place with elemental magic.
