I’m hoping a JMod can take a look because I’m genuinely confused about what happened. Earlier today I was playing normally and stepped away from my computer for about 20 minutes to finish something at work. I was logged out by the normal AFK timer. When I came back, I tried logging in and immediately received the Your account is still logged in message. I messaged a clanmate on Discord, who told me my account was online in World 310 (EU). I live on the US East Coast and almost exclusively play on World 613, so there’s no reason my account should have been on an EU world. This is a Jagex Account with 2FA enabled, which is why this is so confusing. I’ve never shared the account, didn’t receive any unexpected security emails or 2FA prompts, and I take account security seriously. By the time I regained access, my bank had been completely cleaned out. I’m hoping someone can investigate how my account was accessed despite being protected by a Jagex Account and 2FA. If there’s something I missed or another way it could have been compromised, I’d really like to know—not just for my own peace of mind, but to help prevent this from happening to others. I’m happy to provide my RSN, timestamps, or any other information privately if it would help with an investigation. If a JMod happens to see this, I’d really appreciate you taking a look.
