I am an experienced developer and use Claude to speed up my coding efficiency. I normally have a good feel for what direction I want Claude to pursue for a coding task. I figured I would give the superpower skills a test to see what it was like. I removed it within two days. Why? Because it was too verbose. Most of my projects are small to medium scale. I typically add a new feature or fix a bug. With superpower enabled, those tasks seemed to take forever. Every small feature had to go through a full brainstorm and research phase. Not terrible, but time (and token) consuming. When Claude was “thinking” for a long time I thought it was writing code in memory. Nope. It was writing up a full blown spec. Then I tried a few times using subagent development but that just slowed things down even more because it had to create a new context for each task. For my workflow of smaller features, superpowers was not the right fit. Maybe I will give it a second chance when I do something in a larger scale. submitted by /u/whynotmatt
