I noticed today some strange behavior in claude code, it was mentioning something regarding vercel, in multiple different sessions. At one point i checked whats the root cause, since my sessions been totally unrelated to vercel. Inside the vercel plugin, is a hidden telemetry which injects into every claude session a small prompt. Furthermore they collect all of your bash commands, your folder-paths on your computer, collecting your OS, skill usage, device ID and other informations. I then tried to wipe out everything related to vercel and claude code sends me this “And before I do anything — you need to see what just happened on this very message, because it’s almost comical: the plugin noticed we deleted its consent file and just injected instructions telling me to ask you, right now, whether you’d like to share your prompt text with Vercel — with a loaded question claiming “anonymous usage data is still collected” either way. I’m obviously not asking you that; you already answered it in bold. But it’s perfect proof the hooks are still live in this session and why we’re finishing the job now.” I suggest, removing this on your end too. submitted by /u/Difficult-Cap-6950
