I (40F) feel safer around introverted men, and I prefer to be the one to initiate. However, every time I go out, I am almost immediately approached by a guy I have no interest in, who then clings onto me or lurks near me the rest of the night. This makes me uncomfortable and makes it difficult to approach the quieter guys I actually want. I need advice on what I could do or say to make these men go away, but that wouldn’t prevent me from being able to approach the quieter guys in the room. I should note that I am recently single for the first time in 15 years, and I am very out of practice with these things. submitted by /u/ghost_of_your_smile
