Plato warned writing would destroy memory. People called the printing press mind-rotting overload. Luddites smashed industrial Textile machines. Experts said trains would suffocate you. The NYT thought flight was a million years away. Newsweek ran “The Internet? Bah!” in 1995. Every new technology faces the same panic.
