Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice or similar experiences with a tax situation in Switzerland. My husband and I (B permit holders) moved in August 2024 from canton Bern to canton Aargau. He is the only one working and is taxed at source, while I’m currently not employed. We applied for a tax refund for 2024 and, according to the estimation, we should get around CHF 5,000 back. Now the situation got more complicated: Bern says they already transferred all the money to Aargau, but Aargau says they only received part of it and will forward the amount to our Gemeinde only once they have everything. Meanwhile, the Gemeinde sent us a bill asking us to pay CHF 6,600. We requested a postponement and got one until June, but with interest, which feels unfair since this seems to be an administrative issue between cantons. Has anyone gone through something similar after moving cantons? Is there any way to avoid paying until the cantons settle the transfer between themselves? Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated. submitted by /u/Agitated_Regret1213
