For me personally, as someone that grew up with a father but never in my 43 years ever had a dad, it’s when I see videos or situations in real life where you see that bond, that emotion, the unequivocally true nature of love between a man and his child. My daughter will never have to question if I love her. She will never have to wonder if she is good enough. She will never have to worry if it’s ok to talk to me about anything. I can’t recall any point in my life where my father told me he loved me. I chose to break the cycle because I know what it feels like to not know. submitted by /u/MyBeardSaysHi
