So I see a lot people coming into v this sub with a quick question about something simple or maybe complex, but still they cut to the chase? See, those are the ones I kinda enjoy seeing. And from what I see they seem to get the best interactions and conversations going. But it’s not just this sub, it’s also other ones. Then someone will post a long drawn out story about this thing but then that happened and he said this and she said that, and then he did this thing that they don’t understand, but he was being normal and it’s not like him, or maybe it is, but whatever you just get it. But then they start to tell us about some benign aspect of their lives that adds nothing to the story. Like how their friend is making AI music that’s really shitty, or some other dumb thing that literally, no one cares about. Then most of the top comments are sometimes a bit of an F-U or trolling or just outright “I’m not reading that”, then there’s the people trying to offer actual advice or answer the question or my favorites, the ones who start to type a comment and then realize, “Yeah, I don’t care enough to bother.” and delete what they were about to post. Anyways, you ever wonder why? I know I do. But what do you think is their reason for doing so? One time I was making a comment on a hobby sub, because I have hobbies. It’s a bit of a gatekeeper type of sub where people shit on you if you don’t have the latest and greatest, or if you do, you’re a shill, because they have an original 1st edition rare thing that they think is somehow superior because “back in my day…” But anyways, my comment was a bit of an FU troll comment offering actual advice and answering their question. But then right when I was about to hit “Post” I just deleted my comment. Do any of you do that? If so, why? submitted by /u/Rambos_Magnum_Dong
