One thing I miss about back in the day (maybe more than RSMV’s!) were the RS2 style pking montages with music and sometimes special effects. They’re a cherished relic and time capsule of our game’s history. It seemed like people could come out of nowhere, drop a few pk vids, and become an instant household name in the community. My favorite era was 2008-2009, where AGS/Claws/Ancient Warrior’s weapons were king. Sure the OG Wildy was gone, but some of the Bounty Hunter Crater and PvP Worlds content was absolute peak. This was before the “pre-eoc” era when Ancient Curses, Korasi, Chaotic weapons took over and the HP/Constitution change happened and the game started becoming a bit unrecognizable to me. Boomers- Pk Twins - Encore (actual 2007 wildy) sosolid2kk - Runescape High/Max Hits With Melee 2 (CW but honorable mention) There are a couple more I can’t find anymore but I’m really looking for:
- A BH crater D Claws pking vid similar to the Bwuk im PB one, can’t remember the pker name but I remember one of the songs in the vid was Soilwork - Song of the damned
- A couple of Dark Bow “twin” pures that were pking in PvP worlds, ghostly robes, d bows, dds, stuff like that. I believe there was a combo where they just did a regular dark bow hit (non spec) into a double gmaul spec - I remember being very enthused by that back in the day lol submitted by /u/whoisabel
