I’ve been testing both tools this week and I’m getting confused by all the hype videos. From what I understand: Google Stitch is free via Google Labs, infinite canvas, generates up to 5 connected screens at once, and pastes directly to Figma. Powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash / Pro. Claude Design launched April 17, conversation-first, outputs live HTML/CSS/React and auto-ingests your codebase/design system for brand consistency. But no Figma export, it exports to Canva/PDF/HTML instead and handoff is to Claude Code. So is the real difference basically: Stitch = ideation -> Figma workflow for designers Claude Design = prompt -> code-accurate prototype for product teams?
