Hey everyone, I work with SaaS companies on SEO and content. For years, the process was simple. Rank on Google, get traffic, turn that into demos. But something strange started happening recently. People began joining demo calls saying they found us through ChatGPT or Perplexity. That sounded amazing at first… until they started repeating wrong information about our product. Wrong pricing. Wrong features. Even integrations we don’t have. At first we thought it was just one weird case. Then it kept happening. We had no way to see what AI tools were actually saying about our brand. Google Search Console didn’t help. Ahrefs didn’t help. Analytics didn’t help. So we started digging into AI visibility tools. The moment that pushed us One sales call really stuck with me. A prospect confidently said: “I saw on ChatGPT your plan is $79/month.” It’s not. It’s $49. That conversation became awkward fast. They were confused about who to trust. That’s when it hit us: Being mentioned with wrong info is worse than not being mentioned at all. Why we started using an AI visibility tool We wanted answers to simple questions: • When people ask AI about our category, do we show up? • If we show up, what does AI actually say? • Are competitors getting recommended instead? • Which websites are shaping those answers? Without this, we were just guessing. What surprised us We tested a few tools. Most of them focus on one thing: Are you mentioned in AI answers? That’s helpful, but not enough. The bigger problem is accuracy. We kept finding mentions that were counted as “positive” even when the info was outdated or wrong. That felt like a big gap. Why we ended up using LLMClicks We eventually tried LLMClicks because it focuses on accuracy and spotting wrong AI information, not just mentions. Now we use it weekly, similar to how we use Ahrefs for SEO. What we actually use it for Mainly three things: • Seeing how AI describes our brand • Tracking competitors in the same prompts • Finding ideas for new content The content part surprised us the most. When you see which questions trigger competitor mentions, it becomes obvious what content you’re missing. It saves a lot of guesswork. How this fits with SEO We still use SEO tools every day. This doesn’t replace them. SEO shows what ranks in Google. AI visibility shows what gets recommended in AI answers. Both matter now. Why this feels important Buyers are changing how they research. Instead of opening ten tabs, they ask one question and trust the answer. If your brand isn’t in that answer, you don’t exist to that buyer. And if the answer is wrong, you start the sales call at a disadvantage. submitted by /u/Real-Assist1833
