Office men out there , I’m a 31M married, and since I moved into a desk job and out of the field about 3 years ago, I’ve been slowly gaining weight. I still workout regularly, I eat overall healthy- not perfectly and have weekly slip ups when hanging with the boys might have some pizza and wings / w beer 1-2 nights a week. Other than that, my wife and I prepare very healthy meals and conscious of calorie intake. I’m 5’9, I’ve gone from a lean upper 170’s with abs, to mid 190’s over the last 3 years. My wife tells me that I carry the weight well (I have large legs, overall dense muscular build) but I have lost all visibility of abs and I’m starting to get small love handles. I’m carrying a little extra weight in my chest and legs. I want go get back down to 180-185 for myself. I need to lose 10-15 pounds. I feel like my metabolism slightly slowing + being overall physically stagnant during my work day is really catching up to me. I don’t like the trajectory I’m on of slowly gaining a couple pounds every few months, but I am overall working out as much as I always have, I’m just not working in construction field anymore and I’m an estimator. Office guys , what works for you that keeps you in tip top shape? - for me, it’s like 1-2 slip ups per week where I go off my typical diet and drink beer and eat pub food, just those small weekly slip ups gain more weight to my body than I’m working off. I’m a pretty big dude and can eat a lot (not height wise but muscular). I don’t want to eat like a fucking rabbit through my 30’s and be stuck with salads for dinner 5 nights a week, I enjoy making solid meals every day. I’m currently taking no supplements at all. I want to know if anyone has a seriously good recommendation that they stand behind for energy levels? I go to the gym 3- days a week, but I think I need to start making that 4. Something for recovery would be great as well. I havnt taken supplements in 7-8 years, so I’m kind of out of the game with that and there’s so many to lookup. I feel a fire lighting under me to get back down to 180 and feel more like a stud than having a dad bod. Wife says she loves the dad bod transformation, but I think I’ll save that for when I’m 40- Ha. submitted by /u/No-Professional1059
