So, i’ve recently started messing with 5.6 Sol and all for the first time, and honestly the resultshave been insane. However i feel like I could get more out of using both rather than jsut one. 5.6 Sol has had far superior reasoning and all so far, in the sense that when I gave it a plan made by Fable, it found multiple issues in both the plan and the execution. However, i do think it had multiple problems. When I decided to let GPT, it reran countless tests for no reason while I wasn’t oaying attention and burnt through a lot of tokens. I thought my current system of strcit rules, etc from Claude Code would have helped to prevent waste and to keep things on track, but clearly I was wrong. Which vrings me to the main question: does anyone have any tips, things you’d recommend to set up, configs or whatever to help reduce token usage, etc? Pretty new to Codex and would love some input. Also, any tips on good ways to use both claude code and Codex together would be great. I’m thinking of potentially using like 5.6 Sol as orchestrator with Opus as the executor? Is that possible? Then smaller models for super simple things and utility? I had a setup like this for purely claude code, but now I want to try using both, so it doesn’t really apply. Has anyone here tried this as well? Was it good, bad? Worth it? Thanks! submitted by /u/TeteDansLeCul
