I always struggled with CG and yeah skill issue, get good, etc etc, but now that I can get consistent t2 I’ve managed to actually clear it 5 times in a row so far. That’s huge for me, I’ve only ever cleared it once before. Turns out I can manage the fight fine, it’s the constant 12 hits through prayer in T1 that screwed me over time and time again. Between panic eating and switching prayers and getting chunked by a tornado, the T2 calmed my nerves a ton and the whole vibe just changed.
