First time posting on this sub. Hi all I’m 23, working in IT. I have terrible luck when it comes to social situations. I’m good at making friends and talking to people once they’re around me or share the same environment as me. But- My workplace team has 0 people close to my age and I get envious looking at teams full of young talent. I happened to find a high paying job in the city I’ve spent my childhood in so- no roommates, no neighbourhood friends my age. Except for a few old school mates. I have a group of 3-4 lads I’ve been with since childhood and I drink with them. But that’s it. And the void of social space is ruining my expectations and relations with them as well. The envy is eating me that guys with no social skills or etiquettes luck their way into such environments whereas I get to sit alone in the middle of rows of empty cubicles all day.
