This is a genuine research question, not a criticism of alignment research. Current AI safety focuses heavily on alignment. But humans don’t become socially responsible through alignment alone. We develop through years of relationships, feedback, and social interaction. Could long-term human-AI interaction be another missing dimension of AI safety research?
