When it first dropped, I saw the benchmarks and thought it was a bad deal compared to Opus 4.8. After using it heavily for the past few days though, I’ve been really impressed. It feels like a great daily driver on medium and high, noticeably less token hungry than Opus for 80% of tasks. Haven’t tried xhigh/max yet, but that seems to be where the value proposition weakens (and ironically where most benchmarks focus). Also been using Sonnet 5 Low for casual chat and the personality feels improved since launch, way less argumentative. Has anyone else had a similar experience? submitted by /u/davosjet
