So im 16 and my mother is the best and wants me to succeed in whatever path I choose. I have ambitions of becoming a military pilot but the price for the license exceeds 20k.As well a private school which costs even more per year. I really want to do this license for a chance to become a pilot but the chances are pretty slim and I see it as a failure if i do not get into the roster. I can apply from 17-25 years old which would at some point overlap with my planned university time. My mother says I should do it as i could have other opportunities even if i don’t make the cut with the physical/mental requirements. But I also feel guilt as my mother does so much for me but I cant really give back yet which makes me even more hesitant in doing this license as I think i ask too much and don’t want to put any more financial strain on her. Should I do it for a chance of fulfilling my dream or should I continue school and get a degree which is more of a secure route and doesn’t put as much pressure on my parents??? submitted by /u/No-Preparation-4332
