I’ve been working on the same type of project for months, so I have a clear baseline for how quickly my usage is normally consumed. With Opus 4.8, in six hours I usually hit my limit. After switching to Opus 5, I hit the limit in less than two hours. What makes it even more suspicious is how the usage meter behaved: it went from roughly 15% to 45%, then suddenly jumped straight to 100%. Nothing significant changed in my workflow, prompts, or project complexity. The only major change was switching to Opus 5.
