I’ve done pretty much all my dating through apps (Hinge/Tinder) and I’m over it. I want to start meeting women in real life instead. Problem is I’ve basically never approached anyone cold, so I’m starting from zero on that side of things. For the guys who’ve actually made this switch, I’d love some honest experience: • How did you start? Quit apps cold turkey, or keep both running while you built the habit? • Where’d you begin — cafes, gym, events, just out and about? • How long did it stay uncomfortable before approaching felt normal? Weeks, months? • What surprised you about how it’s different from apps — rejection, effort, whatever stood out? • And the big one: was there a difference in the quality of women you met? Not just looks — depth, intentions, how things actually went. Did in-person get you a different caliber of person than the apps did? Not looking for pickup lines or a script, just real talk from people who’ve been through it. Appreciate anyone who takes the time. submitted by /u/OkChance3303
