By online I mean not just places where my gender isn’t obvious, but instagram. Instagram where I have my name and very female picture of my face 💔 They just assume I’m a catfish every time after a couple of conversations (it’s not like I have a drop dead gorgeous unreal picture of myself as my pfp either). Like each time they’re the ones who slide into my dms, and the few guys i actually engage with end up saying “you’ve got to be a catfish lol” or “you give me dude energy icl”. What’s “dude energy” guys😭 Is it because I call them bro and match their energy when they send me brainrot hitler memes? Either they’re like that or they just say “ur very funny lol” and then randomly ask for a vn for “proof” because i “text like a guy”. Also at the start of our conversations they try to hit on me but later if I tell them to go find other girls to talk to, they’re like “I’m not even trying for you anymore lol it’s just fun talking to you” or “it’s fine I don’t mind even if ur a guy atp” like what?? When did that happen y’all were literally just hitting on me? Like one time this guy was using the cringiest pickup lines ever and I was like, try with another girl lmao, and but a few conversations later he’s like we’re “friends”? Not that it matters, because there’s still some nice guys who’ve never said anything about me being “secretly a dude” and just say I’m particularly nice to talk to without mentioning my gender or insisting on video calls or voice notes for proving myself, but how does it happen SO many times, especially because i have pictures and everything and my account is VERY normal and not like a “catfishing dude”?😭 Guys please gimme answers this happens in almost every conversation I’ve had🥀 submitted by /u/aasrtq1264
