I see mostly negative stories/opinions about marrying single mothers. Here’s my positive story. I met my future wife when we were in our early twenties. She had a child that was almost a year old. I honestly think that the word amazing is over used, but she really was an amazing girl. Her parents had already passed away (she had very little help), she was going to college, working two jobs and had paid off her modest car. She was kind to everyone including strangers and everyone that knew her loved her (including the other guys that were pursuing her). All this and she was trying to date me. She was protective of her child and wanted to make sure we were serious before she’d let me interact with them. We’ve got grandchildren now and we met because I left work early one afternoon due to illness. I’m grateful every day for that headache. submitted by /u/acu101
