This CA on it’s face seems like it’s not too bad, but I think it has many pitfalls many other past CA’s have had that Jagex had rightly fixed. 1.) It encourages ‘milking’. The way the CA is designed, waiting in between each kill for spec regen is highly encouraged. Depending on the setup, this can mean that you are spending longer waiting for your spec then actually fighting the boss itself. Doom for example specifically went out of it’s way to avoid this pitfall 2.) It’s RNG hell. You can have 4 kills that are pretty decent at 1:30 and then have one singular kill at the very end which is extremely slow purely due to rng killing the entire run. This is expected tbh and would not be an issue on it’s own, but it is compounded by the next problem 3.) It’s reset heavy. Since it all has to be done in a singular instance AND it has to be done in the first 5 kills in an instance, that means resets are going to be happening very often, and they will happen after the first kill even if you reset until you get a really good first kill. Yama purposely avoided both of these pitfalls with these CA’s. Just these three elements make this one of the most frustrating speed CA’s in the game. The strange part is that the two most recent bosses purposefully avoided all three of these pitfalls, but then they added all three to one boss? I really feel like this CA needs some love in it’s current state, mainly because of the precedent of these other CA’s. It just makes the whole experience more frustrating than it could be and probably should be. submitted by /u/Doctorsl1m
