We got some useful details and rough numbers for the new Wyrmscraig Golem Crafting activity in today’s AMA. I wanted to use that information to estimate how many furs I’d need to hit my Crafting goals. Here is what we learned: All furs can be used at level 60 Crafting , meaning you can use Moonlight Furs all the way from 60-99 if you have them. Each golem requires 1 fur. Moonlight furs should give up to 165k XP/hr This information lets us assume that going from 60-99 with Moonlight furs would take about 77.3 hours . We also need to estimate how long it will take to craft a golem, or how many golems can be crafted per hour. From the Wyrmscraig - Activities & Lock In Poll we know that shaping the golem alone will require at least 36 seconds (4 x 15 ticks). On top of that there are a few other actions that will add time to each golem: Mining Sunstone: It sounds like you will need to mine 5 sunstone per golem (4 blocks + 1 core) Chiseling the Sunstone core Stacking the Sunstone blocks Clothing the golem Movement between the sunstone rocks and the crafting spot(s) Movement around the golem to shape each side We don’t know exactly how long any of these actions will take but I would guess that it takes around 1 minute to craft a single golem. If the assumption of 1 golem per minute is correct, it would mean: 60 furs used per hour 2750 XP per golem using Moonlight Fur 2518 Moonlight Furs to go from 60-93 crafting 4641 Moonlight Furs to go from 60-99 crafting If crafting golems takes longer than 1 minute you will need less fur. If it’s quicker than 1 minute per golem you will need more fur. Personally, I’m planning to level from 82 to 93 crafting, which will require 1730 Moonlight Antelope Fur , so my plan is to have 2000 fur banked ahead of time. submitted by /u/sevenevans
