Let’s say in this hypothetical, you and your female partner do actually love eachother. It’s not a 100% transactional relationship. That removes the one variable that makes this an easy “no, I wouldn’t want this” for most people. But the standout part of the relationship is that she is still your sugar mommy. She comes from a rich family and you’re an average Joe. She pays the majority of everything. She is always the one to settle the bill - expensive holidays, expensive restaurants, and shopping sprees. In theory, you could ask for her credit card whenever you want. The one rule about this hypothetical is: you can’t cleverly twist it to be more culturally comfortable. At a restaurant, she is always the one pulling out the credit card and paying. When you buy something at a shop, you have to hold it by the counter like a child with his mother whilst she takes out the card and taps it. You can’t have a card made in your name to which she transfers money every week. This is in no way inherently bad - but let’s not pretend western culture has shaped this to be a “unique” dynamic for most. Are you too influenced by the Western culture that has told us this is not normal, to ever feel comfortable in a dynamic like this? Or would you say fuck social norms and fuck the stereotypes, why not? submitted by /u/Acceptable-Day8395
