So I signed up to Claude Code to see what all the fuss was about. Signed up with all my details, all going smoothly, and halfway through a prompt the account got banned for “usage policy”. It didn’t go further. The only thing I can think of is I use VPN and signed up on my jack of all trades laptop and went to my more powerful system after to do some work. So my initial thought was they think I am sharing details for multiple people. I submitted an appeal stating maybe it was this? Appeal result: Hello, Thank you for taking the time to submit your appeal. After carefully considering your appeal, we have determined that we cannot reinstate your account at this time due to a violation of our Usage Policy. For more information about Anthropic’s rules, please see our Usage Policy. Anthropic’s Trust & Safety Team I didn’t break any of those rules. And it seems you only get one appeal. And Anthropic take details of device ID and bank details etc, so am I basically locked out of this product now for literally zero reason? submitted by /u/ExoneratedPhoenix
