I had a short GP appointment (around 5 minutes) that was entirely verbal. I explained my symptoms and received a prescription. There wasn’t any physical examination (no stethoscope, abdominal exam, etc.). When I looked at the itemised invoice, I saw separate billing codes for:
- Examination: circulatory system
- Examination: respiratory system
- Examination: abdomen The total cost (around CHF 150) doesn’t surprise me, but is it normal for these to be billed even if no physical examination took place? submitted by /u/Immediate_Sky_2016
