Hi everyone, after 4 years in Switzerland, I’m seriously reflecting on my future here. At the beginning, I thought I would be able to build a stable life, but over time I’ve realized that I feel less comfortable here than I expected. From a work perspective, it hasn’t been easy for me. I don’t have very specific qualifications, and I still struggle a bit with the language, so I often only find temporary jobs or work that isn’t really what I’m looking for. I manage, but I don’t feel like I’m building something truly solid. On a personal level, it hasn’t been easy to integrate either. I find it difficult to make friends and build a real social circle, so I often feel a bit isolated. My husband and I are thinking about starting a family, and at this point I’m wondering whether Switzerland is really the right place for us in the long term. In Italy, we would also have the grandparents nearby, and there might be a better chance of thinking about buying a house, which feels much more difficult here for us. I’m not saying Switzerland is a bad country, it’s just that personally I’m starting to feel a bit out of place. I’d really like to hear from others who have been in a similar situation and how you handled it. submitted by /u/Mission_Top_7842
