I know this is kind of an odd question, but I’m asking it genuinely. I’m (25F) trying to understand what the average male experience is like from the inside. Not just the stereotypes or what men are “supposed” to be, but what it actually feels like to be a man. For example, when people say men naturally want to lead, provide, protect, compete, or have a higher sex drive, are those things you actually feel internally? Or are they mostly expectations you’ve grown up with? What does wanting to provide feel like? Does it make you feel fulfilled? Is it stressful? Does it feel instinctive? What does having a high sex drive actually feel like? Is it something that’s constantly in the back of your mind, or is it overblown? Do you feel pressure to be strong, confident, and emotionally in control, even when you don’t want to be? How much of that feels like it comes from you, and how much comes from society? I guess what I’m really asking is: if you had to explain what it’s like to experience the world as an average man to someone who has never been one, what would you say? *bonus question: what do men generally think of women in general? Do you view us as counterparts, partners, fragile / physically inferior? Idk i’m just curious. submitted by /u/ImTooCuteForThis
