So today’s clue scroll sends me into deep wildy, of course. I’m thinking okay, fine, I’ll be careful, I bring cheap gear. All I wanted was to finish this last step and get back to my stardust mining, 3 tick fishing, that’s it, that’s the whole plan for my day. I get to the dig spot, I’m literally mid-animation digging up the casket, and this guy in full Ahrim’s just appears out of nowhere. No warning, nothing. Just insta-freezes me and starts going off on me. I’m typing in chat begging him to stop, telling him I just want my clue and I have no risk, please just let me go. Didn’t matter one bit. He kept ettecking me over and over until I was dead. Casket’s gone. Clue’s gone. Twenty minutes of solving steps, gone in about four seconds. And then, because apparently that wasn’t texic enough already, he drops a single word in the chat before I even respawn: “sit” That’s it. That’s the whole message. Not “gg,” not “gf,” just “sit.” Like I’m supposed to just sit there and accept getting farmed for free while doing PvE content that has nothing to do with him. I don’t know why one four-letter word rearranged my entire nervous system more than actually dying did, but here we are. I’ve been reduced to a Pavlovian dog that hears the word “sit” now and starts sweating. I don’t even want revenge. I’m not built for that life. I just wanted my clue, my star and my 3 tick fishing. Instead I got cooked by a man in Ahrim robes who communicates exclusively in single syllables. I’ve been playing this game on and off for years and I genuinely cannot take this anymore. It’s not the losing that gets to me, I get that risk exists, it’s the culture around it. The begging that did nothing, the gloating, the one-word disrespect, the way the whole wildy community treats basic human decency like it’s optional as long as you’re the one holding the kill.
