Me and my partner have been together almost 17 years (we’re actually getting married a month from now) and about 6 months ago she went into perimenopause. She’s my everything so the thought of leaving hasn’t crossed my mind but sometimes it’s like she’s a totally different person. The mood swings are totally unpredictable. The brain fog is actually kind of frightening. The hot flashes and sleep disturbances seem like hell. She’s been to our doctor who’s given her pills, patches and a cream so it’s not like she isn’t doing her part. But I feel like I’m walking on eggshells, not because I’m afraid of starting a fight but because I just don’t want to make her day any harder. She works with kids. Her day is hard enough. Like I asked, how are we surviving? submitted by /u/Vci0usF1sh
