Most AI tools feel gimmicky but found one legitimate use case for vacation rental marketing. Email personalization is the weirdest thing that actually works. Used to send the same “thanks for staying” email to everyone and barely anyone responded. Now using hostmail from hostai which changes the emails based on which property people stayed at, conversations throughout the stay and when they visited. Response rate is noticeably higher. Not sure the exact number but way more people actually reply or book again compared to the generic emails I was sending before. The emails adjust based on whether someone opens them or ignores them. If they don’t respond to the first one the next email is different. Would be impossible to track all that manually for hundreds of guests. Main thing is it doesn’t feel like marketing anymore. Guests respond like I’m actually talking to them instead of sending mass emails. Anyone else using AI for actual business tasks that aren’t just hype? submitted by /u/Ok_Touch1478
