Hey everyone, I just turned 20 and I’ve been working blue-collar for about a year. My job is very physical (digging trenches, lifting heavy equipment, loading and unloading), so by the time I get home I’m exhausted. About six months ago I quit energy drinks and started eating better, which has helped me get through work. The problem is after work. I want to go to the gym and I also try to make it to church in the evenings, but I usually have no energy. I used to take pre-workout, but I don’t want to rely on that either. I’ve tried short naps and a few natural energy boosters like beet juice and ginger, but neither has made much of a difference. The only thing that really works is caffeine, but I’m trying to avoid depending on it. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What healthy habits, foods, supplements, or routines have helped you stay energized after a physically demanding job without relying on caffeine? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/SplitBeneficial3689
