I’m a 24M still living at home with my parents, sharing a bedroom with one of my siblings. I’m about to start a new job that pays on the lower end for my field ($65k salary), and I’m not sure I can justify spending half my paycheck on rent. On one hand, moving out means real independence and being able to plan my life on my own schedule instead of running everything by my parents. On the other hand, staying home means I could save a decent chunk of money toward a house or retirement down the line. I can’t seem to get over the fact that moving out now might be a poor financial decision on my part. Has anyone been in a similar spot? What did you end up deciding, and how did it work out? submitted by /u/MajesticTeabag
