Okay, day 3 of apsurd usage costs for claude and today’s observation settles it. Something is being internally manipulated by fact now, this is no coincidence. The last 2 days usage has been literally stolen by anthropic, I am sure either the government is involved or it’s one of the modern rugpull type hoax that these rich create to steal from people like the space X IPO, anyways, before I digress - each session one prompt exhausted everything. Last night the first prompt went bananas on 50% of usage but then afterwards it settled and it went back to normal… I used this window to prepare everything and I was surprised things were as usual, I kept prompting and usage was spent a fraction at a time, as was weeks prior before this surge from two days ago. So in this window I prepared a batch session of chapter writing, the manuscript was pre-processed and the writing was sequential. Each chapter cost about 2-5% usage maybe and I did 7 chapters with the remaining usage. Today, after the 5h reset, chapter 8 took 100% usage and didn’t even finish writing. - same batch process, same source manuscript. Now this is an official f you to all the “Skill issue” nerds that miss on the fact that when something works for weeks, and then it’s continuation abruptly showcases a 5000% percentage increase in usage that that has nothing to do with anything in the process, but has to do something with anthropic and how comfortable they feel manually stealing money out of people’s wallets or whether it’s related to the government usage. submitted by /u/Clear-Following9661
