There is always a reason why a person (regardless of gender) wants to build muscle, and though I know the main ones, I’m curious about which of them is the most common among men and which is the main motivation for you. Is it for the sake of your overall health (such as strengthening an injured body part or maintaining muscle mass)? Is it for the sake of being stronger? Is it to be sexually attractive to others? Is it for your own self-confidence and self-appreciation? An entirely different reason? If you have more than one answer, I’d love to read your story! However, try to highlight your single most honest main motivation. Also, if your reasons have changed over time, please share what was more prominent when you were younger, since I believe most people eventually transition to working out just to maintain their health. I’ll leave my own answer in the comments later. submitted by /u/FelahBr
