I don’t think it’s fun to micromanage stacks on top of the specs we already do, even if they add a second spec orb. I feel like everyone is ignoring this. Do you really want to just click another spec every x seconds at a boss? This sounds super boring to me. Additionally, at endgame, two handed weapons are significantly more powerful than one handed weapons (especially for melee), so this will never see much use once you get an SRA/scythe/breaker. (And if this would make one handed weapons so good that you’d want to use them over an SRA/scythe/breaker, I don’t think that’s good item/progression design either.) As a tertiary and much more fixable concern, why would they pick a color scheme that doesn’t fit the vast majority of endgame melee armor? Unless you are using radiant oathplate, this is going to look super ugly with blorva and inquisitor. I would much prefer an attachmentscape upgrade to the avernic, which is the definitive melee damage offhand, that has some interesting passive, or, alternatively, a style-neutral shield focused on tanking and flat armor (without the spec) which would be situationally better or worse than the Elysian shield depending on how frequent/high damage taken is. submitted by /u/Snow_Wight_RS
