I have been locked out of access of my CC for 2 weeks. For all this time I have been using Codex. Today I went back to CC after doing some stuff in Codex. I really forgot how the struggle before was. Trying Opus 5, it started asking questions when the prompt was narrowly telling it what to do and it had strong guidelines in claude md. It also completely ignored the guidelines and principles. I switched back to 4.6 as that was my go-to more reliable model after all the 4.7 and 4.8 kicked in with their nonsense. While much better than 5, it requires too much hand holding, it takes a lot longer to do anything, it turns any work into a mess and never understands intention. It is quite unusable compared to codex. I was already using codex for the times when Claude was misbehaving before. But having no access to Claude for 2 weeks really made me see how unreliably the current models behave. submitted by /u/hatekhyr
