You can use VS Code Remote SSH to connect to another machine and still run the Claude Code extension normally. I was running several sessions on a machine with 16 GB of RAM and it was struggling. I moved the project to another computer on my network with 64 GB of RAM, connected through VS Code, and now it runs perfectly. So if you have spare hardware sitting around, you can use it as a remote development machine instead of upgrading your main PC. You can even ask Claude to help migrate the project and configure everything for you. submitted by /u/Leasj
