Basically what the title says. Short but long back story. We’ve been together 4 years- no ring, and a 3 year old. We got pregnant when we were only together for 6 months. He has severe anxiety and depression and a lot of personal issues stemming from his mom and having to earn her affection. He is also a heavy drinker which we’re trying to work on and he uses it at a way of running away. He recently told me he feels like I emasculate him. I will admit that I’m very hard headed and I don’t put up with shit. But he said part of it is i control the financial aspects of everything. - when I went on maternity leave I took over the finances- his car has been almost repoed 3 times since we got together as his doesn’t budget and spends a significant amount on beer and has had to ask him dad to dig him out quiet a few times. so I took over finances budgeting and all the things right before our daughter was born. He pits a lot of blame on me when it’s his own avoidances. Idk how to fix this? Idk what to do. I boost the ego, I try to imitate sex but always get declined because he’s either tired or his meds make him looks his drive, I try to leave things to him but he avoids EVERYTHING. He’d never schedule an apt if I didn’t, he wouldn’t pay his bills, he wouldn’t have clothes to wear, he wouldn’t cook dinner. I’m at a loss. I don’t want to feel like I’m controlling and I don’t want him to feel this way either but he literally will not do anything if I don’t do it. submitted by /u/AbroadProfessional20
