I need to vent a bit about the digital agency scene here in Romandie. Has anyone else dealt with these big, flashy web agencies that charge a fortune, deliver a cookie-cutter template site with literally zero SEO quality, and then try to lock you into massive monthly Google Ads budgets? It feels like their entire business model relies on smoke and mirrors. They take your money, put together a site that looks okay on the surface, but under the hood, it’s completely unoptimized. And whenever you ask about organic SEO, they just tell you it “takes time” and immediately pressure you to dump thousands into PPC ads. The moment you stop paying for ads? Boom, your traffic drops straight to zero. It’s an endless trap. Lately, though, I’m starting to wonder if smaller agencies or rising freelancers in the area are a much better bet. It feels like they actually give a damn about their work because they are still building their reputation. I recently took a chance on a smaller, much cheaper team here, and the experience was night and day. Not only did they charge a fraction of what the big players wanted, but they actually handled the technical and on-page SEO properly—practically as part of the package, without charging me extra just to show up on Google organically. submitted by /u/Greedy_Bite9780
