Given that fishing at sea is being received so well, it’s hard not to think about a common criticism at sailings release: the restrictive nature of the cargo hold. While allowing any items on the cargo hold might be overpowered, its becoming hard to justify why it cant atleast hold resources collected from sailing islands. The gameplay loop of putting resources in your cargo hold until it is full and then sailing to bank your items gives a quintisentially sailing flair to skilling activities which players can get behind, and actually requires the player to do some sailing (making it a little less of a skill where sailing exists merely to unlock content). It’s possible some methods would become too strong with this, but that can be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. On the other hand, even with this change a lot of the skilling content would still be dead due to the run back and forth to the boat which hampers the niche this gameplay loop is meant to fill. One possibility here is allowing one of your crew members to follow you on land and take items directly to the cargo hold. There can be some drawbacks here like requiring a high sailing level, and/or requiring payment like servants in poh’s etc. But just having a option like this available would go a long way to fleshing out the skill a little more and add some life to the sailing islands. submitted by /u/SectorPale
